Ocular Hygiene
Implementing an ocular hygiene routine is essential for patients experiencing eye irritation, dryness, discomfort, or other dry eye symptoms. Proper cleansing of the eyelids and eyelashes is key. The purpose of the lids and lashes is to trap debris, toxins, and other particles, and prevent these foreign bodies from getting onto the ocular surface. If they aren’t properly cleaned and cared for, this can lead to an increase in dry eye symptoms or to other problematic conditions like Demodex mite infestations.

For patients requiring deeper cleansing, there is an I-LID ’N LASH® formulation that contains 5% tea tree oil (TTO).

A Convenient, One-Step Lid and Lash Hygiene Product to Cleanse and Hydrate
Reduces bioburden and removes ocular debris while enhancing the effectiveness of artificial tears. Used daily, I-LID ’N LASH® is effective in maintaining lid and lash health for patients with dry eyes or sensitive skin.

I-LID ‘N LASH® is available in 2 formats.

How to use
- Apply a moist, warm compress to the eyelid to loosen encrusted debris and secretions.
- Gently rub eyelid and eyelash roots with the pre-moistened I-LID ’N LASH® wipe in a circular motion until debris is removed.
- Do not rinse. Any remaining I-LID ’N LASH® will continue to cleanse and hydrate the skin.
- Repeat as needed for the second eye using a clean wipe.

A Lid and Lash Cleanser Formulated with 5% Tea Tree Oil.
One easy daily application will remove ocular debris which helps enhance the effectiveness of tear lubricants. Cleans and hydrates in one simple step.

Did you know?
Tea Tree Oil (TTO) is an essential oil derived from the native Australian Melaleuca Alternifolia plant. Employed largely for its superior cleansing properties, TTO is the ingredient used in many topical formulations to cleanse cutaneous infections.
Caution: Do not use on broken or abraded skin. Not to be used by children under the age of three.
